What is a three dimensional figure? A figure with length, width, and height
What is volume? The amount of space inside a figure
What is volume measured in? Cubic units
What are ways to find the volume of a rectangular prism? To count the indivual unit cubes or multiplying it's length, width, and height together to get the total volume
What is the volume formula? V=lwh
What figures can be deconstructed into a net? Prisms and pyramids
What is surface area measured in? Square units
How do you find the surface area of prisms and pyramids? By finding the area of each lateral face
What is the formula for a triangle? a=lw/2
What is the formula for a trapezoid? a=h(b1+b2)/2
What is the formula for a square/rectangle? a=lw
What are cubic units? Used to measure volume. Tells the number of cubes of a given size it will take to fill a three dimensional figure
What is a lateral face? Any face that is not a base.
What is a net? A two dimensional figure that can be used to build a three dimensional figure
What is a prism? A three dimensional figure with at least three rectangular lateral faces and top and bottom faces parallel.
What is a pyramid? A three dimensional figure with atleast three triangular sides tbaf meet at a common vertex and only one base that is a polygon
What is a rectangular prism? A prism that has rectangular bases.
What is the slant height? The height of each lateral face of a pyramid
What s surface area? The sum of the areas of all the surfaces (faces) of a three dimensional figure
What is a three dimensional figure? A figure with length, height, and width
What is a triangular prism? A prism that has triangular bases
