Regression Revert back in time to past successful reactions when under pressure
Rationalization make up acceptable excuses for behaviors that cause us to feel anxious
Displaced Aggression take out frustration on less powerful opponent
Id what a person WANTS to do (devil)

Superego what a person SHOULD do (angel)
