Insulators resist electron flow

Autotransformers adjust voltage and are used for kVp selection in x-ray equipment
Photon the smallest unit (quantum) of electromagnetic energy
Amplitude the height of the wave and relates to intensity or brightness
Beam Quantity refers to the number of photons and is mainly controlled by mAs
Beam Quality refers to penetration and energy and is mainly controlled by kVp
Attenuation is absorption plus scatter
Bremsstrahlung produces most x-rays
