an angle formed by two secants, a secant and a tangent, or two tangents intersecting outside a circle is measured by one-half the difference of the intercepted arcs
two tangent segments to a circle from the same exterior point are congruent
a line passing through the center of a circle (diameter) and perpendicular to a chord bisects the chord and its arcs
if 2 chords intersect within a circle, then the products of the lengths of the segments of one chord equals the product of the lengths of the segments of the other chord
if two secants are drawn to a circle from an external point, the product of the lengths of one secant and its external secant equals the product of the lengths of the other secant and its external secant
if a tangent and a secant are drawn to a circle from an external point, the tangent is the mean proportional between the secant and the external segment of the secant
in a circle, parallel lines intercept congruent arcs between them
