Seneca Falls Convention The first national women's rights' meeting where The Declaration of Sentiments was written.
Declaration of Sentiments Modeled after the Declaration of Independence, this document highlighted the injustices toward women
William Lloyd Garrison This man was an American journalist. He started "The Liberator", an antislavery newspaper.
Frederick Douglass This escaped slave became an abolitionist spokesman and writer. He wrote his biography and "The North Star", an abolitionist newspaper.
Sojourner Truth Women's rights and antislavery activists
Harriet Tubman This abolitionist escaped slavery herself and then helped many others escape as well. She is known as the "Moses" of her people.
Elizabeth Cady Stanton This women's suffragist helped organize The Seneca Falls Convention.
Susan B. Anthony H. Well known leader of the women's rights movement
Women's Suffrage Women's right to vote
Sarah and Angelina Grimke Activists who supported abolition and women's rights
