| Underground Railroad | A network of people who helped |
| Seneca Falls Convention | The first national women's rights' meeting where The Declaration of Sentiments was written. |
| Declaration of Sentiments | Modeled after the Declaration of Independence, this document highlighted the injustices toward women |
| William Lloyd Garrison | This man was an American journalist. He started "The Liberator", an antislavery newspaper. |
| Frederick Douglass | This escaped slave became an abolitionist spokesman and writer. He wrote his biography and "The North Star", an abolitionist newspaper. |
