| Alliteration | a literary device where two or more words in close proximity repeat the same initial consonant sound |
| Hyperbole | a figure of speech that uses extreme, deliberate exaggeration to emphasize a point, evoke strong emotions, or add humor |
| Personification | a literary device and figure of speech that gives human traits, emotions, or actions to non-human entities |
| Onomatopoeia | the process of creating or using words that phonetically imitate, resemble, or suggest the sound that they describe |
| Oxymoron | a figure of speech that pairs two contradictory or opposing words together |
