Simile A figure of speech that compares two different thinks to make a description more vivid or engaging. Usually uses the words "like" or "as." (Example: She was as pretty as a sunrise).
Metaphor A figure of speech that compares two unrelated things by stating that one thing is another. (Example: She is the sun).
Alliteration A literary device where words start with one same sound are placed closed together in a sentence. (Example: Busy bees buzzed by)
Hyperbole A figure of speech that uses extreme, deliberate, exaggeration to make a point, add humor, or evoke strong emotions. (Example: I'm so hungry, I could eat a horse).

What is the primary reason Josh (Filthy McNasty) has dreadlocks at the start of the book? To honor and emulate his father.
How does Josh lose his hair? JB cuts it off because of a bet.
What is the nickname of Josh's father, and what was he famous for? He is famous for basketball. His nickname is Chuck "Da Man" Bell.
Why does Josh's mother, the Assistant Prinipal, become increasingly concerned about Chuck (the father)? She is concerned becasue of his health and past health issues.
What causes the main "crossover" (conflict) between Josh and JB? Mrs. Sweet Tea and in game Josh hurts JB.
In the end, what does the "Championship Ring" represent to Josh? The complicated legacy and emotional inhertiance of the boy's father Chuck "Da Man" Bell.
What happens during the final game of the season? They win, but JB and Josh's dad dies.
