3-D A perspective added to an object to give the appearance of three dimensions.
Brightness The amount of white or black added to a color; sometimes called a tint or shade.
Caption A text label that identifies an illustration such as a figure, table, or a picture.
Contrast The difference between color values in different parts of the same image.
Fill The inside area of a shape or other object.
Outline The border that defines the outer boundary of a shape or other object.
Saturation The intensity or depth of a color.
Shadow An effect designed to give the appearance of a shadow behind a border.
Tone The amount of gray added to a color.
Border A line placed on one or more sides of a paragraph, page, or text box.
Diagram A chart or graph usually used to illustrate a concept or describe the relationship of parts to a whole.
WordArt A feature of Word used to transform text into a drawing object.
3D Model An object that you can insert in an Office document and rotate to view different angles or perspectives.
Bounding Box A border that displays around the edges of a selected object.
Device Driver A software program that provides the instructions your computer needs to communicate with a device.
Floating Object An object that is positioned independently from the document text.
Object A graphic, picture, chart, shape, text box, or other element that can be inserted in a document.
Online Pictures Predrawn pictures that you can insert in an Office document.
Scanner A device that converts printed documents into digital file formats.
Screenshot A picture of the content currently displayed in a window open on your computer desktop.
Screen Clipping A picture of selected content currently displayed in a window open on your computer desktop.
Shapes Predawn objects that come with Word.
Sizing Handles Small circles around the edges of a selected object that you use to resize the object.
Text Box A rectangular drawing object in which text or graphics image can be inserted or positioned anywhere on a page.
USB Universal Serial Bus. A type of connection used to attach devices such as flash drives, scanners, cameras, and printers to a computer.
