Boba A popular milk tea drink with tapioca pearls that originated in Taiwan.
Jade Mountain The highest peak in Taiwan, also known as Yushan.
San Francisco Site of the oldest Chinatown in North America, formed by Cantonese immigrants.
Mekong River Southeast Asia's longest river which originates in the Tibetan Plateau.
Pakistan A nuclear-armed neighbor and "iron brother" of China.
Chinatown Ethnic enclaves found globally, featuring dragon gates and traditional foods.
Grand Canal The world's longest artificial river, connecting northern and southern China.
Kashgar A western Chinese city near Kyrgyzstan that was a major stop on the Silk Road.
Yellow River Often called the "Cradle of Chinese Civilization," located in the north.
Nine-dash line The demarcation line used by China for its claims in the South China Sea.
Macclesfield Bank A large, completely submerged atoll in the South China Sea.
