Jurisdiction The authorities hear a court case and enforce the law
District courts Lower federal courts that have jurisdiction cases involving federal law
Courts of appeals Federal court review decision appealed
Justices Judges of the Supreme Court
Judicial review Power of the Supreme Court it determines if a law passed by Congress or presidential act goes against the Constitution.
Opinion Written statement by US Supreme Court explaining its decision
Concurring opinion Statement written by Supreme Court Justice, who agrees with the majority's decision
Dissenting opinion Statement written by Supreme Court Justice, who disagrees with majority's decision
