QuestionAnswer
winged clamp a type of dental dam clamp that has extensions to help retain the dental dam
universal A dental instrument or certain material made to work on all teeth or surfaces.
Bow A curved metal part of a rubber dam clamp that connects to the jaw.
Jaws The gripping parts of a dental clamp that attach around the tooth to hold the clamp right and secure
Septum The section of rubber dam material between two punched holes that stretches between teeth.
Invert To tuck or roll the edge of the rubber dam around the tooth to create a seal that is used specificly to keep the moisture out.
Stylus A marking tool used to transfer or mark tooth positions onto a rubber dam before making holes.
Malaligned Teeth that are crooked, maybe be crowded, rotated, or not in their proper placing.
Exposed In dentistry, this is meant to be an uncovered area, exposed roots, dentin or pulp.
Aspirate To use suction to remove saliva, water, blood, or debris from the mouth during a treatment.
