TermDefinition
Wavelength Wavelength is the distance between two adjacent crests or troughs of a wave.
Electromagnetic Spectrum All these wavelengths and frequencies make up what is called the electromagnetic spectrum.
Spectrum A spectrum is a continuous range of a single feature, in this case wavelength.
Probe A space probe is an uncrewed vehicle that carries scientific instruments to distant objects in space.
Artificial Satellite An artificial satellite is any human-made object placed in orbit around a body in space.
NASA The National Aeronautics and Space Administration, or NASA, was formed in 1958. In 1961, President Kennedy announced his goal of sending humans to the moon.
Spinoff A spinoff is a product that uses NASA technology and that benefits the public.
Launch A launch is the process of setting a rocket or spacecraft in motion.
