Why do we need red blood cells to carry oxygen? Oxygen is nonpolar and is not soluble.
What does erythropoietin produce? Red blood cells production
What does thrombopoietin produce? Platelet production
What is the later of the hear that does the muscular beating? Myocardium- muscle layer
What are the circuits of circulation? Pulmonary- lungs and back Systematic- rest of body
What are the vessels that are high pressure? Arteries
What are the vessels that are low pressure? Veins
What do arteries do? They go away from heart
What do veins do? They go back to heart
Where does the vena cava go? Into the right atrium
Oxygenated blood away from the heart is what? Aorta
Deoxygenated blood away from the heart is what? Pulmonary arteries
What is the function of the ebolut? Clot moves from original site
Thrombus? Clot
What is the order of the movement of nerve impulses through the heart? Sa node---> Av node---> Av bundle---> Bundle branches---> Purkinje fibers.
What is the ejection phase? Ejects blood from heart
What does the atria do? It receives
What does the vetricles do? It sends.
What is the calculation for the cardiac output? HR x SV. Heart rate x stroke volume
