QuestionAnswer
What does Accuracy mean? Making the intended object go in the intended direction.
What does it mean to Follow Through? Continued motion in the desired direction of the object.
What does Opposition mean? Stepping with your non-dominant foot.
What does Force mean? How hard an object is thrown, strength or power behind a throw, kick etc.
What does Absorption mean? When catching a ball, the act of "giving" with the ball.
What is Hand-Eye-Coordination? Coordinating a movement when striking between the hands and eyes.
What does Tracking mean? Following the pathway of the object before catching or striking it.
What does Stance mean? Body position before an object is struck.
What are the Group Initiatives? Working together as team to be successful or solve a problem. Focus is not being the first team to finish.
What are the Integrated Movement Concepts for Defense? Person to person defense. Position yourself between the goal and the ball. Communication.
What are the Integrated Movement Concepts for Offense? Moving to open space. Creating a clear passing lane. Communication.
What are the things to remember for Striking? Hand-eye-coordination. Tracking. Stance. Important to strike the object in the center for accuracy.
What are the Throwing and Catching Concepts for Throwing? Step with Opposition. Focus and Track the object. Trunk Rotation Give with the object. Follow Through Absorb the force. Effected by size, weight and shape of object.
What are the Throwing and Catching Concepts for Catching? Focus and Track the object. Give with the object. Absorb the force. Above waist, thumbs down. Tracking.
