Writer Toolbox Guide

QuestionAnswer
Simple Sentence A sentence with one subject and one verb that expresses a complete thought.
Very Short Sentence A sentence with very few words.
Adverb Start A sentence that begins with an adverb.
W Start A sentence that begins with a question word (Who, What, Where, When, Why).
Purpose in Writing The reason you are writing (inform, persuade, entertain, explain).
Writing a Conclusion The final part that wraps up ideas and leaves a lasting impression.
Sentence Control Maintaining clear, concise sentences focused on one idea (15–20 words).
Making Paragraphs Work Organizing sentences to support one main idea (topic → details → explanation → closing).
Lawyer Paragraph A paragraph with a claim supported by evidence and reasoning.
Scientist Paragraph A paragraph explaining facts using evidence and logic.
