Circulatory system the system that transports blood throughout the body
Blood vessel one of a network of tubes that carries blood throughout the body
Respiratory system the system that brings air into and out of the body
Trachea the main tube that takes air to and from the lungs
Digestive System the system that breaks food down into usable nutrients
Esophogus a muscular tube between the mouth and the stomach
Bacteria microscopic organisms that can cause diseases
Virus a nonliving microscopic structure that can cause diseases once inside a living cell
Immune system the system that helps defend against diseases
Antibodies the proteins made by white blood cells that help destroy harmful bacteria and viruses
Musculoskeletal system the system that produces movement and gives structure and protection to the body
Ligament the tissue that connects bone to bone at movable joints
Tendon the tissue that connects skeletal muscle to bone
