exoskeleton a skeleton that forms the external surface of an animal, as the arthropods
pereopod paired legs in decapods
abdomen The portion of a decapod body between the cephalothorax and the tail
pieopods Specialized appendage beneath the body of a decapod, also “swimmeret.”
molt The exoskeleton that is shed during the molting process.
maxillipeds a food sorting appendage of some crustaceans
antennae a sensory appendage on the head of arthropods
nauplius a planktonic larva of many crustaceans
carapace theb shiled like structure that covers the anterior of some crustaceans .
cephalothorax the anterior portion of the body of many arthropods,which consists of head fused with other body segmants
compound eyes an eye that consistys of numerous light-sensitive units
