Ecologist Scientists who study ecology
Exotic species Organisms, plants, animals, or microbes, introduced by humans activity.
Introduced species Species that exist outside of the species are normal rage because of human activity.
Non native species Organisms were introduced accidentally by human activity to areas outside their natural rage.
Quadrat A square or rectangle plot of land marked off, to determine where to collect their samples.
Transect The specific path or area, often marked with a rope or measuring tape showing where data should be collected.
Abiotic The nonliving components in an ecosystem include water, temperature, and sunlight.
biotic The living components in an ecosystem are the organisms.
biodiversity The variety of life at every level, from genes to species to ecosystem.
Habitat A location in an environment where an organism lives.
Invasive non-native organisms introduced to new environments, often by human activity, that spread uncontrollably and cause ecological or economic harm
Population A group of organisms of the same species living in the same habitat.
Range In ecology, the total of all the areas where species live
Resources materials, assets, or capabilities available in the environment or by humanity to satisfy needs and wants, characterized by their utility, accessibility, and economic value.
