Arab Spring A Wave of democratic protests across the middle East that resulted in government change or violent government actions.
War in Iraq A U.S. invasion of Iraq with the intent of destroying weapons of mass destruction and change the regime in Iraq
Persian Gulf War A coalition of countries against Iraq who invaded Kuwait and intended to invade Saudi Arabia to control 40% of the world's oil
Six Day War A surprise Isralei invasion of their surrounding countries which they won due to air superiority and tripled in size
Suez Canal Crisis A conflict that was started over Egypt nationalizing a canal.
Iranian Hostage Crisis A group of Iranian college students kidnapped 52 American citizens and held them hostage for 444 days
British Palestine Mandate The British Separation of Isralei and Arab states in Palestine
