Climate the environments natural weather throughout the region. Some are, hot, cold and moist regions that are all over the world.
Landform a natural feature formed on the Earth’s surface. They make up the terrain. Notable examples include mountains, plains, plateaus, and hills.
Region a broad area that shares similar characteristics within itself such as physical features, government jurisdiction, climate, and culture.
Physical Characteristics the observable, measurable trait in a person or object that can be seen.
Weather What the air is like outside right now or over a short time, such as temperature, rain, wind, clouds, etc.
Environment All the living and nonliving things around us, like air, water, land, plants, animals, and people.
Savanna A grassy plain with few trees, usually warm, with wet and dry seasons (common in parts of Africa).
Rainforest A dense forest with many tall trees, lots of plant and animal life, and heavy rainfall, usually in warm areas near the equator.
Drought A long period of time with little or no rain, causing water shortages and dry conditions.
Deforestation Cutting down or clearing large areas of forests, often for farming, logging, or building.
Conservation Protecting and carefully using natural resources (like water, forests, and animals) so they are not wasted or destroyed.
Inference A conclusion or idea you figure out using clues and observations, plus what you already know.
