What did Hitler do when he first gained power? How did it impact the peoples view of him? Hitler abolished the position of president and declared himself dictator. People swore an oath of allegiance to Hitler, not to a constitution.

What was the Nazi's view on race? The Nazis aimed to create a “racially pure” Germany,
In what ways did the Nazis exclude Jews from public life? Jewish children were excluded from public education. Jewish people had jobs and opportunities taken from them. Jewish people were also segregated in public places.
What is antisemitism? the hatred of Jewish people.
What was the goal of Nazi propaganda? The goal of Nazi propaganda was to demonize Jews and to make Germans see them as dangerous influences on German people.
What occurred on Kristallnacht or "The Night of Broken Glass"? the Nazi party grew violent towards Jewish people. Jewish-owned businesses and places of worship were vandalized.
How did German citizens view Hitler after the Nazis occupied Paris? gave Hitler more popularity and trust following the occupation of Paris,.
What was the Final Solution? remove all Jewish people and “undesirables” from the population.
What was the purpose of Jewish-occupied ghettos? What were conditions like? created to separate Jewish people from other population. imprisoned behind brick walls and barbed wire. They were unsanitary and cramped, and there was much disease and sickness.
What was expected of Jewish captives within the camps? What happened to those who could not do what was expected? Those who could work would be expected to work under forced labor. If they could not do this, they would be put to death.
