what is the definition of Enumerated powers? The powers given specifically to the national government by the U.S. constitution also known as expressed or delegated powers.
what is the definition of Concurrent powers? The powers shared by the national and state governments.
what is the definition of Reserved powers? The powers given specifically to the state government.
what are the three parts of the federal system? Enumerated powers, Concurrent powers, Reserved powers
what does the enumerated powers do? coin money, set up a postal system, maintain military forces, declare war, regulate interstate and foreign commerce, negotiate treaties with foreign countries.
what do the concurrent powers do? guarantee civil rights & liberty's, levy & collect taxes, provide for public safety, protect public health, establish courts, punish lawbreakers, borrow money, construct & maintain roads.
what do the reserved powers do? conduct elections, establish local governments, establish schools, regulate marriage, divorce and adoption., regulate intrastate commerce, provide fire & police protection, enact license requirements.
