Presidential Succession If both the president and the voice president die or leave office, the 20th amendment gives Congress the power to set the order of presidential succession.
State of the Union Address Televised speech given once a year- sets for the programs and policies that the president wants Congress to put into effects as laws.
Foreign policy The government's plan for interacting with the other countries of the world.
diplomacy The art of interacting with foreign governments. A president's visits to foreign countries helps build international friendship.
treaties Written agreements with other countries. Many officials work to reach
