| Consulate | The U.S. counsel's office. |
| Passport | Allows people to travel. |
| Visas | Allows people from other countries to come to the U.S. |
| Joint Chiefs of Staff | The military is telling the President about the military's actions. |
| Department of Homeland Security | Protects from attack and natural disasters. |
| Independent agencies | A group of people made by Congress that works of a goal. |
| Bureaucracy | 3 million people who work in the federal bureaucracy. |
