What were some of the difficulties the Allies faced when planning Operation Overlord? How did they attempt to overcome these difficulties? Hitler fortified knowing an invasion was coming. He believed they would land in Pas-de-Calias; they had set up dummy equipment then landed in Normandy. Had to deal with weather conditions and tide. Leave at dark & arrive at low tide
