passports Documents needed to travel to other countries issued by the country of the person's citizenship.
visas Documents which allow people from other countries to come to the USA.
Joint chiefs of staff top military officers of each branch of the armed forces who advise the president about military actions, and military possibilities
Department of Homeland security Established after the 9/11 attacks. It's goal is to protect the nation from all threats and attacks; this includes natural disasters.
Independent agencies Specialized groups created and funded by Congress who work for a common goal/topic in the Executive branch. Ex: NASA is an agency
Bureaucracy All of the employees of U.S. agencies, as well as those of the executive departments, make up the bureaucracy.
