theater of the absurd an avant-garde genre of drama that presents the absurdity of the human condition created by discarding rational narrative and theatrical devices and realistic forms
theme the central of dominating idea in a work; an abstract concept that is made concrete through the repetition of words, images, or music
theme music/theme song the recurring musical melody or musical passage that runs throughout the film and comes to be associated with a principal character, a theme, or a dominant emotion
three-shot a shot encompassing three actors
tie-in a book that is based on and written subsequent to s specific film; often it is a novelized version of the screenplay
tone the mood of a work; the authors implied attitude toward the subject
tracking shot (dolly shot) a shot in which the camera is moved by means of wheeled support and is generally positioned parallel to its moving object
