Background Check A check at what a person has done in the past as part of the process to hire or not
Benefits Non-wage compensation provided by employers in addition to your salary (health insurance , dental insurance retirement fund
Contract Legally binding agreement between 2 or more parties that creates an obligation to perform a duty
Cover Letter A letter of introduction about yourself attached to a resume explaining their suitability for a desired position
Intern A person who works as a trainee in an occupation to gain expirence
Interview A formal discussion; an employer assesses an applicant for a job
Job shadow Step into another person's shoes for a day or week and see what life is like in that career
Mentor Someone who teaches or gives advice to a less expirenced employee
References An adult not related to you who can speak about your character , skills, and qualifications
Resume self advertisment that shows your skills, experiences, and achievements that match the requirements of the job you want
Budget A plan that helps you see how much money you have, how much you spend and how much you save, typically on a monthly basis
Debit An expense, or money paid for an account
Credit The ability of a customer to obtain goods or services before payment, based on the trust that payment will be made in the future
