How did the war end? General Lee surrendered to Ulysses S. Grant at Appomattox Court House, Virginia on April 9 1865. The war was over.
After the war, how many people were dead? between 600,000 and 750,000.
How many people fought in the war? 3 million.
Ulysses S. Grant's two battles were what? (10 miles away from each other) 1. Fort Henry = control of tennessee river 2. Fort Donelson = Columbian river
