| conjunction | a conjunction is a word that connects words, phrases or clauses. (Example: and but, or, so, because, etc). |
| present tense verb | actions happening now (Example: walks, sing, think) |
| pronoun | replaces a noun (Example: I, you, he, she, they). |
| past tense verb | expresses an action that has occurred. (For example: walked, went, drank, decorated) |
| action verb | a word that describes what the subject of the sentence is doing (Example run, throw, read, think, remember, consider) |
