birth rate the number of births per 1000 individuals for a certain time period
immigration movement of individuals in a populations area
population density the number of individuals in a specific size
limiting factor an enviorment factor that causes a population to decrease in size
carrying capacity the largest population that an particular enviorment can hold
death rate the number of deaths of per 1000 individuals for a certain time period
emigration movement of individuals out of a populations area
natural selection the process which organisms that are best adapted to their enviorment are most likely to survive and reproduce
niche how an organism makes its living and interacts with the biotic and abiotic factors in its habitat
predator the organism in which does the killing in predation interaction
mutualism a type of symbiosis in which both species benifet from living together
parasitism a type of symbiosis in which one organism lives, on, or in a host and harms it
competition the struggle in which organisms survive as they attemptt to use their same limited recourses at the same place and time
prey an organism in which gets killed and eaten by another organism in a predation interaction
commensalism a type of symbiosis between two species and one species benifet s the other species and the other species is neither helped or harmed
parasite the organism in which benifet by living in, or, or in a host in a parasistim interaction
adaption an inherited behavior or physical characteristics that help organisms survive and reproduce in its enviorment
predation an interaction where one organism kills another organism for food of nutrience
symbiosis any relationship in which two species live closely together and that benifets at least one of them
host a host in which a parasite lives in,or on, and provides a source of energy or a suitable enviorment for the parasite to live
