Safety inspection is a planned and systematic process in which the wokrplace is examined closely on a regular basis
Continuous inspection involves noting an apparently or potentially hazardous conditions or unsafe procedure and either correcting it immediately or making a report to initiate action
Informal Continuous inspection is sometimes called ___ since it does not conform to a set schedule, plan, or checklist
Interval inspection or Planned Inspection sometimes called ____ inspections, they are regarded as "real" safety and health inspection because they are conducted at specific intervals
Periodic inspection includes those inspection at regular intervals. they can target the entire facilitiy, a specific area, a specific operation or a specific type of equipment
Intermittent inspection are those made at irregular intervals. sometimes, the need for an inspection is indicated by accident tabulations and analysis
General inspection is planned and covers places not inspected regularly. this includes the entire workplace both interior and exteriror. they are areas no one ever visits
Inspection checklist is a potent tool in hazards identification. they serve as reminders of what to look for and as records of what have been covered.
Daily area supervisor and maintenace personnel, who can also request suggestions from employees in their various work
Weekly department heads
Monthly department head supervisors, the safety department, and the safety and health committee
Sound knowledge of the facility/workplace familiarity with the facilities of the establishment is an effective tool in determining what are the things to be inspected and how often such things should be inspected
Be knowledgable of the relevant standards, regulations, and codes the reference of all safety and health rules of the company should be the established local legislation and codes
Be familiar with the organization's accident experience _____ and potential so that of all s/he can see trends and potential problems and thus act accordingly
Posses the ability to make intelligent decisions ____ for corrective actions
