QuestionAnswer
Genocide the deliberate killing of a large group of people, especially those of a particular ethnic group or nation.
Proxy War a war in which major world powers involve themselves in civil wars or conflicts between smaller nations as substitutes instead of fighting each other directly
Coup a sudden, violent, and illegal seizure of power from a government
Junta a military or political group that rules a country after taking power by force
Human Rights the basic rights to which all people are entitled as human beings
Refugee A person who has been forced to leave their country in order to escape war, persecution, or natural disaster
Weapons of Mass Destruction Biological, chemical, or nuclear weapons that can cause a massive number of deaths in a single use.
Guerilla Warfare type of fighting in which soldiers use swift hit-and-run attacks against the enemy; typically used by an army with less technology or support than its enemy.
