Deciphering the Code

Hyperthyroidism Condition where the thyroid gland produces too much hormone
Hypoglycemia Low blood sugar levels
Adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH) Hormone that stimulates the adrenal cortex
Pancreatitis Inflammation of the pancreas
Gonadotropin Hormone that stimulates the gonads (ovaries/testes)
Lymphadenopathy Disease or enlargement of lymph nodes
Splenomegaly Enlargement of the spleen
Tonsillitis Inflammation of the tonsils
Thymoma Tumor of the thymus gland
Lymphangitis inflammation of lymphatic vessels
Cardiomegaly Enlargement of the heart
Atherosclerosis Hardening of arteries due to plaque buildup
Electrocardiogram (ECG/EKG) Recording of the heart’s electrical activity
Myocardial Infarction Death of heart muscle due to lack of blood flow (heart attack)
Hypertension High blood pressure
