Gerontology Gerontology is the study of aging and diseases of older adults.
Preparatory depression It comes with the realization of the inevitability of death and is accompanied by a desire for death as a release from suffering
Advance directive An advance directive provides an individual a means to direct health care if a situation occurs in which they are unable to make decisions.
Inpatient someone who has been admitted to the hospital for diagnostic studies or treatment
Outpatient An outpatient is someone who has come to the hospital or outpatient center for diagnostic testing or treatment but does not usually occupy a bed overnight
Objective Objective data are perceptible to the senses, such as signs that can be seen, heard, or felt and such things as laboratory reports.
Subjective Subjective data pertain to or are perceived only by the affected individual. They include factors that involve the patient’s emotions and experiences, such as pain and its severity, and are not perceptible to the senses.

chronology Chronology refers to the timing of a symptom or problem, when it started, how long it has lasted, and how it has changed over time.
Onset Onset is when and how a symptom begins, including what the patient was doing at the time, which can help identify patterns or triggers.
Quality Quality describes what a symptom is like, such as its appearance, type, or characteristics (e.g., pain, cough, or body fluids)
Localization Localization means identifying the exact location of a patient’s problem using clear questions and appropriate touch with patient consent.
clinical history Clinical history is the information about a patient’s condition, gathered through an interview to better understand their problem and guide care.
Emotional Intelligence Emotional Intelligence (EI) Ability to evaluate, perceive, and control emotions
