| energy storage molecule (glucose) | molecule organisms can use to release energy |
| food web | a model that shows what eats what in an ecosystem |
| indirect effect | the result of one cause leading to an effect that causes one or more other effects |
| organisms | living things like plants animals and bacteria |
| population | a group of the same type of organism in the same area |
| reproduction | the process of creating offspring |
| resource population | a population eaten by organisms from another population |
| stability | when something stays mostly the same over time |
| producer population (autotrophs) | a population able to make their own food through photosynthesis |
| decomposer | an organism able to break down other organisms and waste |
| parasitism | interaction in which one organism benefits and the other is harmed |
| mutualism | interaction between 2 organism where they both benefit |
| commensalism | interaction in which one organism benefits and the other is not impacted |
| abiotic | not living parts of environment |
| biotic | living parts of the environment |
