Studying for fitness lab test
| Term | Definition |
|---|---|
| Heart rate | The amount of times your heart beats per minute |
| Resting heart rate | Your heart rate at its lowest amount of beats per minute |
| Target heart rate | The heart rate you want to be exercising at in order to achieve the most benefit out of our exercise. |
| Repetitions | The number of times you do a lift at one time. |
| Set | A group of repetitions |
| Muscular strength | Using a muscle for a short period of time. |
| Muscular endurance | Using a muscle for a long period of time. |
| Cardio-respiratory endurance | Vigorous exercise for a long period of time to strengthen the heart and lungs. |
| Flexibility | The ability to move joints and muscles through their full range of motion. |
