Organisms Living things
CellS The building blocks of living
Nucleus The control center of the cell
Organelles Specialized part of the cell
Prokaryotic cells The simplest type of cell; do not contain a nucleus or organelles; most are bacteria
Unicellular organisms Organisms that are made up of one Cell and that Cell controls all the functions for that organism
Multicellular organisms Organisms that are made up of many cells. These cells have specialized structures and functions that work together to help the organism survive.
Autotrophic organisms Organism that can provide their own food for energy
Heterotrophic organisms Organism do not produce their own food. They must consume other organisms for energy.
Eukaryotic cells What complex types of cells; contains a nucleus and organelles; consist of plants, animals, and fungi
