| person / number | person: first, second, or third number: singular or plural |
| verb conjugation | representing how a verb changes with changes in person, number, tense, etc. |
| subject – verb agreement | singular subject requires a singular verb; a plural subject requires a plural verb |
| sub- | under [Examples: submarine, subterranean, subtraction, subterfuge, submerge, subconscious, subway, subvert] |
