superior and inferior vena cava largest veins and both empty in right atria
superior vena cava drains upper extremities

tunica externa outer layer, prevents vessels from bursting under pressure, vessel diameter, made of thin elastic connective tissue
tunica media middle layer, made of smooth muscle, movement, vasocontraction
tunica intima inner layer, allows blood to flow w/o friction, lines inner surface of everything in cardiovascular system
