| continental drift | the process where by the Earths plates move and carry the continents with them |
| convection currents | circular movement of magma in the mantle which rises, moves to the side then drops again |

| crater | the opening at the top of the vent of the volcano |
| crust | outer layer of the earth |
| destructive boundary | where two plates are colliding and destroying the crust |
| dormant volcano | a volcano that hasn't erupted in a long time but may erupt again |
