| Term | Definition |

| Trachea | Where oxygen travels after it goes through the nose. Windpipe |
| Homeostasis | Keeping internal conditions safe inside the body. (keeping the body in balence/check) |
| Nose | Primary location where oxygen enters our bodies |
| Bronchi | These tubes force the air into our cells. They are like roots to tree. The father they get from the lungs the smaller they get. |
| Lungs | Major organ of the Respriatory System |
| Aveoli | Responsible for carrying the waste product from cells back out to the lungs and out of our bodies when we breathe out |
| Diaphragm | Conntracts when we breathe |
| Waste products from respiratory system | Carbon dioxide and water vapor |
| Kidneys | Excrete urine and make it here. They are shaped like beans |
| Ureters | Tube that urine leaves the kidneys from |
| Bladder | Sacs where urine is stored |
| Urethra | A tube below the bladder that carries urine out of the body when you use the bathroom |
| Liver | Produces urea and breaks down waste into forms that can be excreted and poteinally recycled. Secondary organ |
| Oxygen | What we inhale and gives energy and nutrients to the cells |
| Carbon Dioxide | Waste product that we exhale from our bodies |
| Tissue | Many similar cells working together |
| Organ | Different tissues working together to do a job |
| Organ System | Organs that work together to perform major functions |
