What are Simple Machines? Simple machines are machines that make work easier.
What is Mass? Mass is the amount of matter that makes up an object.
What is Force? Force is a push or a pull.
What is Friction? Friction is a force that causes objects in motion to speed up or slow down when two surfaces rub together.
What is Speed? Speed is a measure of how far an object moves in a certain amount of time.
What is Motion? Motion is a movement, or a change in an objects position.
What is Position? Position is a place where an object is located.
What is Gravity? Gravity is a force that pulls things toward earth.
What happens if there is more Friction? The more friction the more an object in motion slows down.
What if an object is light? The lighter the object the less force you need to get it in motion.
What happens when you apply more force to something? The more force applied the more energy is released.
What does force do? Forces make things speed up slow down or change direction. Without force a still object remains still and a moving object would keep moving.
What happens when there's more mass? The more mass something has the more force required to move it.
What are some types of forces? Magnetic force, pushes and pulls, Gravity, air resistance, and friction.
Fun Fact Forces are constantly battling each other. Unbalanced forces move and balanced forced don't.
What are Unbalanced forces? Unbalanced forces happen when one side is greater force in one direction. This will cause the object to move in the direction the greater force is going.
what are balanced forces? Balanced forces are two equal forces acting in opposite direction. Because it is balanced the object does not move.
