QuestionAnswer
Simple machines Simple Machines make life easier.
Mass is the amount that makes up an object.
Force Force is a push or pull.
Friction Friction is a force that causes objects in motion to speed up or slow down when two surfaces rub together.
Speed speed is a measure of how far an object moves in a certain amount of time.
Motion A motion is a movement, or a change in an object is located in an object's position.
Gravity Gravity is a force that pulls things toward earth.
THE MORE FRICTION PRESENT, THE MORE AN OBJECT IN MOTION SLOWS DOWN.
Postion Is the place where an object is located.
The Lighter an object, the less force you must apply to get it in motion.
The more force applied, the more energy is released.
What do forces do? What happens if there is no force? Forces make things speed up, slow down or change direction. If there is no force, a still object remains still and a moving object keeps moving.
Unbalanced forces move but, _____________ __________ don't. A. Balanced forces
Gravity vs.... Air resistance
A push vs. friction and __________ A. gravity
A pull Vs. A. Friction
Push vs... A. Push
The more force that is applied, The farther the object will go.
Unbalanced forces happen when... One side has greater FORCE in one direction this will cause the object MOVE in the direction the greater force is going.
The more MASS something has, the ______ ______ ___________ __ ____ __. MORE force required to move it.
Types of forces are? Magnetic force, pushes and pulls, gravity, air resistance, and friction.
Friction opposes motion between two ________ objects. TOUCHING
Gravity pulls everything toward? Earth
If you drop a bowling ball and a beach ball off a building, the ________ ____ would hit the ground first because it has more _____. A. Bowling Ball, Mass.
