Accreditation Measurment process to ensure schools have basic quality.
Campus Culture Characteristics that give each school or training program its unique personality.
Career Preparation Provider Any program, school, or business that offers education/training.
Common Application College submission web site used by hundreds of colleges.
Co_Signer Person responsible for paying back a loan if you do not
Early Action An early college application method that is not binding.
Early Decision an early college application method that is binding.
EFC (EXPECTED FAMILY CONTRIBUTION) The amount FAFSA says you and your family should contribute towards your education/training.
FAFSA Forms required for education/training financial aid.
Grant Money provided by government, schools, or private donors that you do not need to repay.
Need_Based Financial aid that depends solely on your family’s income.
SAR (STUDENT AID REPORT) Results of the FAFSA process.
Scholarship Financial aid money you do not have to repay, usually rewarded on achievement.
Student Loan Money that a student borrows and must repay.
Work_Study Program Provides money, paying students for qualified campus jobs.
Chronological Resume A resume that presents your information by date in reverse order.
Combination Resume A resume that combines functional and chronological formats.
Cover Letter A letter that introduces you to employers.
Electronic Resume A resume designed to be transmitted over the Internet and stored and accessed on a computer.
Functional Resume A resume that matches your capabilities to the job.
Personal Fact Sheet A written document that summarizes basic information about you and your education, experience, skills, and other pertinent data.
Pre_Employment Test Any education beyond high school.
References People you know who are not related to you who will give you a positive recommendation.
Resume A record of your experience and qualifications related to a specific job or career.
Traditional Resume A printed resume you provide to the employer through the mail or in person.
