Simple machines Simple machines make work easier
Mass Mass is the amount of matter that makes up an object
Force Force is a push or a pull
Ftiction Friction is a force that causes objects in motion to speed up or slow down when two surfaces rub together
Speed Speed is a measure of how far an objects moves in a certain amount of time.
Motion Motion is a movement, or a change in an object's position.
Position Position is the place where an object is located
Gravity Gravity is a force that pulls things towards earth
Motion fact The more friction present, the more an object in motion slows down
Position fact The light an object, the less force you must apply to get it in motion
Gravity fact The more force applied, the more energy is released
Force fact Forces make things speed up, slow down, or change direction.
