formal social control carried out by authorized agents, such as police officers, judges, and employers.
interactionlist perspective its emphasis on everyday behavior, the interactionist perspective attempts to explain why crimes are committed.
functionalist perspective The functionalist perspective attempts to explain social institutions as collective means to meet individual and social needs
