Space Exploration

QuestionAnswer
wavelength The distance between two adjacent crests or thoughts of wave.
electromagnetic spectrum All of the frequencies or wavelengths of electromagnetic spectrum.
spectrum A range of electromagnetic radiation that is ordered by wavelength of frequency, such as the band of color that is produced when white light passes through a prism.
probe An unscrewed vehicle that carries scientific instruments into space to collect scientific data.
artificial satellite Any human-made object placed in orbit around a body in space.
NASA The National Aeronautics and Space Administration.
spinoff A commercialized product incorporstiong MASA technology or "know how" that benefits the public.
launch The process of setting a rocket or spacecraft in motion.
