QuestionAnswer
What do all of our internal and external body parts do to keep us alive? They work together.
Which system takes oxygen through the veins to the rest of our body when we breath and when our heart beats? The respiratory system.
Which system helps us eat and get nutrients from our food? The digestive system.
What are examples of external structures? Bird beaks, wings and sharp talons.
What are examples of internal structures? Stomach, lungs, heart and brain.
What humans do extended movement, what happens to our heart rate? It increases.
When humans breathe slowly and are still, what happens to our heart rate? It decreases.
Do fish breathe underwater to get the oxygen they need? Yes.
What type of animals hunt other animals for food? Predators.
What are some characteristics of predators? Sharp talons or claws and excellent vision.
How many types of plants are on Earth? Over 400,000.
Which is a plant structure that helps plants survive? Stems.
What is the function of a stem? To bring water from the roots to the rest of the plant parts.
What covers a Giant Sequoia? Bark.
What is the chemical called that is in the bark that covers a Giant Sequoia? Tannin.
