| Impossible | Some events will never happen because they are impossible. 0 |
| Certain | Other events will definitely happen, because the are certain. 1 |
| Equally possible | An event this is equally probable to occur or not to occur is exactly halfway between impossible (0) and certain (1) on this scale. |
| Unlikely | Unlikely events are closer to impossible. b+w. 0-1/2 |
| Likely | Likely events are closer to certain. b+w. 1/2-1 |
| Probability | The number of possible outcomes and the number of favorable outcomes. |
| Complement | The complement of a statistical event is the opposite of the event. It includes all the outcomes that are not part of the original event. |
